I have read Stacey Gail's books from the first until now and I can honestly say that she is one of the authors that just keep getting better and better. To see the growth and added depth in each book has been amazing. I am utterly in love with Polo and Dasha. What astounding characters they are! I think they are my favorites. They were kick ass. All of them. The diverse background characters to Rude and Sass who were part of the series when Scorpio/Polo first showed up. The book covers of this duet were so sexy-the content definitely lived up to the covers. Everything about Scorpio and Dash was sexy and sweet with a mass amount of power. Stacey Gail-I just gushed like a fan girl and I never do that. Well done, lady, well done. Read this series and...well, all of her books, I promise it is so well worth it.Product details

Year of the Scorpio Part Two picks up right where Part One leaves off. Where the first part focuses on Dash and Polo’s budding relationship, the second kicks in with the dark in this dark, mafia romance. It left me breathless, and I absolutely loved it!
I like to think of this book like a live, exposed wire. All the players get closer and closer to the truth, and as they do, the suspense tautens and the danger escalates. It sets the stage for the bolt of electricity in the air, the anticipation, the expectancy. Who will touch the wire first, and will they be able to survive the fallout?
This one so gritty and heartbreaking, but with a hyperactive awareness that just kept me reading. The anger and fear and devastation is palpable, but alongside that is this feeling of hope and healing. Dash and Polo’s relationship is still deepening, but it has this darker edge of need that jumps off the page. All you can do is wait for the inevitable confrontation.
The ending was everything I wished for and more. I love Dash’s strength as much as I love Polo’s vulnerability. There’s a depth to these characters, and the side cast was just fantastic. Just make sure you have tissues at hand when reading this one. What a ride!

This is a dark contemporary romance with violence. This book is not for the weak hearted, you have been warned. This is most defiantly for adults only. This books picks up directly where part one leaves off so if you have not read the first book you will be lost. Okay where to begin, I am for once speechless. I can not understand how two people could treat their family the way these men have chosen. And I have to side with Dash, for Polo to allow her grief to go on for months, well it was cruel. Ok no more details... read the book! You will not be disappointed!
Dash has done everything possible to stay away from the Mafia business her father established. She has separated herself away from that lifestyle, but her bother Knives just will not leave it alone. He is determined to build up the Vitaliev name since their father's death, and have his revenge. He has done everything possible to cause turmoil. He is causing war with all of the mafia and she is caught in the center and everything precious to her in under attack. She will soon learn that some people just can not be saved.

What a fabulous story and great read. I was very disappointed about the cliff hanger from book one, just as well book two was already out and I could go straight to it.
This was a good conclusion to Dash and Polo's story. The mafia plot was very well done - lots of factions to get in line to lead to an HEA. Having said that, as the reader, you knew Polo would return, so there wasn't a lot of tension around that, but Dash's handling of it emotionally when it happened was sort of painful to read through and it slowed the story down for me. Dash and Polo were strong characters, but I found Knives hard to believe - as the author kept pointing out his 6 days of abuse shouldn't have twisted him up that much, and there was no indication that prior to that he had any personality issues as Dash recalled a happy childhood with him (and even a happy adulthood). Overall, this series was well worth reading.
